[WOLF3] The thinnest route, available only through long-distance plunging fire from large-caliber battleship shells, would be by over-matching her upper hull and dropping through her turtleback directly into her citadel. It’s not uncommon for us to see Premium Ships with a little more worth in their girth, so there’s nothing too surprising there.
The Prinz Eugen gains an extra 30m in the turn and her rudder’s 0.2s slower. Where's a soft skinned Admiral-class Battlecruiser when you really need to farm damage?
When you do get matched up against tier 9s and tier 10s you're hoping for a rare cruiser-heavy engagement.
I'm glad that I have Eugen in port, and glad that I have Atago in battle.
Find your enjoyment where you can, I suppose.Like many cruisers with ability to take on different roles, you'll have to choose a specializing to get the most out of her. As good as her AP penetration values are, they cannot contend with battleship belt armour except at point-blank ranges inside of 7km -- and even then you need the flat broadside as any angling will likely cause the shells to shatter. What is disappointing with the Prinz Eugen is her large turning circle coupled with a rather sluggish rudder shift time (There's been a lot of disappointment already in this review, hasn't there?).
Overall, Prinz Eugen is tougher but Admiral Hipper has better soft stats across the board. The problem for the German CAs Admiral Hipper, Prinz Eugen, Yorck, is that they don't have the faster gun options of Roon, Hindenburg, nor that ROF of K-/N-Berg. They’re nice fish with a 64 knot top speed, a 6.0km range and a warhead that does 13,700 damage when they strike. Compare this to the Admiral Hipper and you get 100 / 235 / 288dps at the same ranges.
Now let's get to the not-so-good news. For a tier 8 cruiser, the Admiral Hipper-class is under armed. Prinz Eitel Friedrich's, on the other hand, has an almost untouched superstructure, but: She incorporates the Atlantic bow. Among the 203mm armed cruisers, the Admiral Hipper-class leads the pack in damage over time, only falling behind the Soviet 152mm armed cruisers for ships of her tier. German HE is notorious for under performing and the Prinz Eugen does not escape this stereotype.
A campaigner of the first order. I also found that with the changes in 7.4, Prinz Eugen and Hindenburg feel very similar. the Admiral Hipper-class heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen from the popular mobile game Azur Lane. She's tied for the slowest cruiser at her tier with her sister, Admiral Hipper but she handles more poorly. Let’s look at the difference between the Prinz Eugen and the Admiral Hipper. However, they are let down by their small-caliber. So bonus ship experience doesn't immediately translate to bonus Captain Training.
If they're giving you their broadside, punish them for it.
Yes AP will overpen the superstructure and probably deal more damage per shell but you still has a chance to cause fire.
Quantity The Prinz Eugen has amazing turret rotation speed for a heavy cruiser at 7.2' per second. In terms of Commander XP however the Prinz Eugen has a stock 50% bonus which adds up with the camouflage bonus allowing her to … The idea here is to elabourate on information not commonly available through reading statistics and provide some (heavily) biased anecdotal evidence to encourage or dissuade you from making your purchase. If stay on HE, then your damage is going to tank badly.
She has eight of the typical German 8" guns with a 13 second reload, backed up by roughly center mounted torpedoes with a 6km range.
At least, I am on the surface.
In his first Prinz Eugene review, he did 147K damage, that didn't change his opinion that the ship is underpowered. He is a unicum player and can get more out of the ships than a normal player, so he don't evaluate a ship based on how much more damage he did compared to the average potato in a T8 cruiser. Prinz Eugen is a mediocre offering all told, even with her How well does the ship maintain profitability in Co-Op modes and how does she fare against bots? This includes training captains, collecting free experience, earning credits and collecting signal flags from achievements.Competitive Gaming includes Ranked Battles and other skill-based tournaments. These are the same torpedoes found on all German cruisers, from the Konigsberg on up.
